2019 Bentley Continental GT Concept Reveal News
The new 2019 Bentley Continental GT has been revealed, and it’s a marvel. It shows a healthy influence of the latest models of the brand, especially the EXP 10 Speed 6. This is something very positive. While the exterior of the second-generation car looked exactly like the first, the new car has a cooler surface that is both smoother and more athletic, while looking forward to the technical details that plunge into the second and third shots look.
The new look is largely the result of the magnificent EXP 10 Speed 6 concept. The taillights are round and thin, and the grille looks flatter and more prominent at the front. The round headlights of the brand 2019 Bentley Continental GT are still present, but have been adjusted to better match the new shape of the car. Moving the front wheels forward by 5.3 inches allows for a longer, shorter nose. Buyers can choose from 17 basic colors, but it’s still possible to add a custom tone to a price.
The interior is beautiful. The dashboard molding extends seamlessly to the door panels, and a high center console with a physical switch provides the driver and passenger with their own separate spaces. The front occupants have 20-way adjustable electric seats with heating, cooling and massage functions, and padded leather has never looked better. There is a new design of the quilt “diamond in diamond” where each diamond shape has 712 stitches. The most fascinating part of the 2019 Bentley Continental GT is its new rotating screen. The board has a panel that can turn to show one of three things: a platform that extends the edge of the board, the same platform but with three analog discs and the infotainment system with touch screen Conti GT 12.3 inches. It’s impressive in pictures, so I cannot imagine what it looks like in person. Technologically, the 2019 Bentley Continental GT is equipped with a 10-speaker sound system, but 16 speakers and 18 loudspeaker systems are also available. Like many other Volkswagen Group cars, the dashboard is a giant screen. Apple CarPlay is available on this ridiculous rotating touch screen, but there does not seem to be Android Auto.
We believe this error will be corrected once the new 2019 Bentley Continental GT is available. Much of the design’s success comes from its transfer to a platform shared with the new Porsche Panamera. The previous generation Continental Continentals were built on foundations originally created for the VW Phaeton, a configuration that was, in the background, front-wheel drive with all the traction capabilities in the wheels, the packaging requiring the placing the engine in front of the front axle. This new companion has a traction bias in the rear wheel, which allows for larger and more traditional proportions on the surface. It reflects the movement of the engine further into the chassis, with a longer, stubbier hood planted at the rear. We detected some delightful shades of the 60s Ferrari Superfast signals on this front which narrows backwards, from left to right and on the flanks.
The 2019 Bentley Continental GT will be on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The prices and specific information of the release date are still to be determined.
