2019 Honda CR-V Concept Reveal News
Honda launched the fifth generation of the CR-V at the end of 2016. This was a surprise for most of us, especially because Honda did not reveal much information in advance. Although the model is fairly new, it seems that Honda may soon launch another update. So far, the details are still rare, but it seems that the 2019 Honda CR-V will be the update that everyone is talking about. This is likely to present some minor changes to the exterior and interior, but you will receive more attention under the hood.
It will be available in four versions: LX, EX, EX-L and Touring. With this update, the CR-V received the Active Shutter Grid system for the first time. For added comfort, there are advanced noise, vibration and roughness prevention features. The Base LX model works with 17-inch wheels, while 18-inch alloy wheels are available. There are ten 2019 Honda CR-V exterior colors available, 5 of which are pearls and 5 metallic colors. Which ones are: Basque red bead, black crystal bead, molten lava bead, blue obsidian bead, white diamond bead, dark metallic olive, metallic bronze, metallic silver moon, modern metallic steel and metal sand storm.
The front seats are adjustable with the power option and with three levels of heating. Behind the wheel, we can see the color screen of the 7 inch TFT driver information interface that shows the analog tachometer, the digital speedometer and more optional information of the 2019 Honda CR-V. In the console Central, the standard screen for the base model is 5 inches with Pandora, USB port and Bluetooth connectivity for Hands Free Link function. The highest ornaments are equipped with a 7-inch touch-screen audio display with Android operating system. This audio system includes HondaLink content, AM / FM content, Bluetooth connectivity, and compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay platforms.
This four-cylinder in-line is good for 184 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque, which is pretty impressive for its size. As an option, Honda also offers a 1.5-liter turbo. With 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque, it’s a good upgrade from the bigger engine. Its biggest improvement is fuel consumption. Once equipped, the car will consume up to 10% less fuel than otherwise. So far, both have been available with a CVT gearbox. It seems that things could change. Although unofficial, the new 2019 Honda CR-V could have a 10-speed automatic transmission in series, which would certainly enhance the driving experience. In addition to that, the car will also receive a hybrid. Honda has only confirmed that this hybrid will use a 2.0-liter Atkinson engine with two electric motors. Its power will likely be around 210 horsepower and with fuel consumption north of 40 MPG on average, it should be the best-selling crossover in its class.
Since the new 2019 Honda CR-V will not get any big changes, we are not expecting any change in its cost. The LX base with FWD model is expected to start around $ 24,000 while EX starts with nearly $ 3,000 more. EX-L and Touring cost less than $ 30,000 and $ 33,000, respectively. If you decide to have an all-wheel drive, you must pay $ 1,300 more, no matter which model you choose. Regarding the release date, we expect the 2019 Honda CRV to hit the market in the summer of 2018.
