Jaguar was recently launched with some models launched in recent years. One of them is the XE, its compact sedan that has surprised the market. So far, the car has been very successful, but has lost the aggression of some of its rivals. To change, Jaguar has launched a special edition template with XE SV Project 8. This is a limited run, but it looks like it will not be the only XE special. Not long ago, the 2019 Jaguar XE was spied on and the car looks pretty impressive. So far, this is only a rumor. Even so, it seems that Jaguar will launch it to be able to better compete with his rivals.
Project 8 looks amazing, but it does not look like a car that would be driven every day. The next 2019 Jaguar XE will have to do exactly that, so it will not look so aggressive. The camouflaged prototype revealed a lot of interesting features on the automobile. It seems that the wide-bodied kit and the solid wing of the limited edition car will not be used on the 2019 Jaguar XE. Instead, the car will be based primarily on the XE S, so it will have wings, similar wheels and bumpers. However, it will come with a four-way exhaust system, slightly larger air intakes at the front and a possible heat extractor in the hood to help keep the engine cool.
Like the S, the 2019 Jaguar XE will be very special inside the cabin. The interior will be dominated by the large center console in which most buttons will be installed. The car will come standard with Jaguar’s new widescreen infotainment system, and on top of that, it should also have contrast seams. It also seems that the seats will not be the same as those of the S. Instead, the 2019 Jaguar XE could receive front seats with individual rear seats to make the car more interesting than otherwise.
The 2019 Jaguar XE will be finally offered with the same 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine found in most of Jaguar’s high-performance applications. The details on this are still unknown, but we all know it’s a really capable engine. From the first reports, it seems that the car will offer about 510 horsepower and more than 500 lb-ft of torque. Although this is nothing compared to the 592 horses offered by Project 8, it’s more than any of its direct competitors. In order to take advantage of all this power, the car will be equipped with a revised eight-speed automatic transmission that will roll only the rear wheels. While we’re not expecting 592 horsepower, about 510 hp of the ubiquitous 5.0-liter V-8 Jaguar Land Rover is a big possibility. This is higher than what potential rivals offer. For example, the BMW M3 comes with 425 hp, the Cadillac ATS-V with 464 hp and the Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 with 503 hp.
The 2019 Jaguar XE will be the mass-produced version of Project 8. It will come with many of the features found in the special edition model, but it will certainly be a bit more domestic. The car will continue to be based on the same aluminum structure as the regular model, so there is no change here. However, the 2019 Jaguar XE is ready to receive a more efficient suspension system that will likely include adaptive dampers to make the car more comfortable and better to drive. Ceramic carbon brakes have also been widespread, but so far nothing has materialized. Its release date has not yet been made public. However, considering the state of development of the prototype, it is safe to assume that the car is still months away from launch. It is likely that its price is in line with that of its rivals. That means you can expect a base price of about $ 65,000.
