2019 Mitsubishi Outlander Concept Reveal News
Japanese Mitsubishi car companies can often be found on the roads of our country. Of course, the crisis has paralyzed the sale of cars of this brand (compared to 2015 in 2016 Mitsubishi sold 53% less), but, however, after improving the economic situation, car sales will increase as Japanese company is able to manufacture dynamic machines and high quality. Many fans love Japanese SUVs from the Mitsubishi brand, and the 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander is no exception.
There is no doubt that the current model seems unique. Well, we should say the same about the future 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander. Although it will be a completely new car, it is safe to assume that it will continue to share design signals with its predecessor. Some also said that the car would share some signs with Eclipse Cross, which would be pretty interesting to see. At the front, the car will probably have the same shield as its siblings and the same type of lighthouses. However, it is likely that the Outlander has a more muscular bumper with different vertical fog lights. We hope the car does not have unusual tail lights in the back. Even so, Mitsubishi can surprise us but not for the better.
Unlike its predecessor, the future 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander should have a much more impressive cockpit. The materials will be nicer, and there will be a little more kit available for the driver and his passengers. However, the biggest change will have to be the design. We hope the car shares the design of the board, or at least the overall look, with the Eclipse which must be one of the best Mitsubishi launched in recent years. Some also said that the Outlander would have more features and better materials that would take things a step further.
The old 2.4-liter naturally aspirated engine will probably be gone for the 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander. Instead, we should see a new 1.5-liter turbo that has just been launched. This new plant currently has a capacity of 161 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, which is actually better than the biggest four-in-line engine. As before, it is likely that a CVT is used which is not ideal. Front wheel drive will remain standard, while some models will have an optional AWD system. However, it will not be the only engine available. Most likely, the car will also receive a larger 2.0-liter unit, good for around 250 to 300 horsepower. So far, Mitsubishi has not talked much about this possible future engine, but it looks like it will certainly happen at some point.
The current model has the same platform as the other two small Mitsubishi crossovers. Although he is the biggest of the group, he shares the same wheelbase. This means that the interior space is not as well-organized as it should be and that the car is not rolling as well. The next model will change everything. In fact, the new 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander should have a wheelbase 4 to 8 inches longer. This will only improve the way you drive the car, and it will make it a little more spacious inside the cabin. The new platform will also reduce the total weight of the car, and should also improve NVH levels. We only hope that Mitsubishi will also install bigger brakes since those of the current model are, at best, average. The launch date has not yet been revealed, but it seems that the car will arrive in the showroom in 2018 or 2019. Its price should increase slightly compared to the current model. This is mainly because Mitsubishi will have two new cars that will be placed under the Outlander when it comes to features and prices.
