Range Rover recently launched the new 2019 Range Rover Velar. Although this is the first time the company has launched a performance-focused crossover, it’s doing pretty well. This is also due mainly to the fact that Jaguar was part of the development process, and the Velar is essentially an F-Pace with a much nicer feature set. However, it seems now that Range Rover will go even further. Not long ago, what appears to be the future 2019 Range Rover Velar was spied on during the Nurburgring test. If the rumors are true, then it could easily become the fastest car the company has ever launched. While details are still scarce, there are many rumors that can happen, and most of them seem to be quite accurate.

Like the Range Rover Sport, the 2019 Range Rover Velar has received a sporty makeover. The wheelarches have inflated compared to the standard model to accommodate wider tires on their huge alloy wheels. Its honeycomb-shaped front grille and four barrel vents echo the more powerful F-type and leave no doubt about the performance potential of the car. Interestingly, the Velar test car in the video uses conventional door handles compared to the deployable versions that are featured in the regular Velar, it is unclear whether they are discontinued to save weight or simplified for development .

The interior will also receive a makeover from the 2019 Range Rover Velar. Normally comfortable seats will likely be replaced by seats similar to those equipped with the 2019 Range Rover Sport, probably in a variety of colors. There will be a lot of carbon fiber around the cabin to reinforce the sporting image, while the infotainment will come in the form of Land Rover’s In Control Touch Pro system.

Unlike the current model, the 2019 Range Rover Velar will feature a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine. This is the same engine that is currently used by the Range Rover and some other vehicles on the Jaguar list. In this particular application, the V8 should provide something between 500 and 600 horsepower and up to 550 lb-ft of torque. All this power will be sent to an ingenious all-wheel drive system that will have a torque vectoring function. Thanks to that, and to the eight-speed automatic of the car; The Velar should be able to reach 60 MPH in less than 4.0 seconds. Its maximum speed could be limited to around 150 to 170 mph, but Range Rover could also decide to demarcate the car, in which case you can expect a top speed of over 170 mph. .

The regular Velar is launched in September 2017, so it is unlikely that we will see a variant of Velar until November 2018, perhaps until 2019. With the 2019 Range Rover Velar, it costs around £ 45,000 and the Range Rover Sport costs around £ 100,000, the Velar should cost between £ 85,000 and £ 90,000.
